I thought I would share with you one of my favorite all times fabrics Laura Ashley Lloyd made into a roman blind with charcoal gingham borders.  I made this blind about 7 years ago for a window in my own kitchen after designing and making a similar version for a customer.  The problem when making things for yourself is that you never have the time or inclination to make something special – Well on this occasion I did, it took time cutting out but every time I looked at that blind I felt so satisfied knowing that every aspect was just spot on.  It was sold about 6 months after making it when the kitchen was rebuilt.  The blinds I have made since for my new window don’t compare – At least you know when you buy a roman blind from me that it is made with real care and attention to detail.
